Abstract	U ovom radu “Uporaba glazbe u filmovima strave i užasa” napravit ću povijesni pregled glazbe u filmovima horor žanra. Tijekom povijesnog pregleda analizirat ću ključna djela te glazbene elemente koji su obilježili stvaralaštvo pojedinih skladatelja te kako su oni bitno za napredak i evoluciju filmske glazbe. Osim načina korištenja glazbenih elemenata, osvrnuti ću se i na njihovu dramaturšku funkciju. Također ću se osvrnuti i na moderne filmske skladatelje i na njihova djela te ih usporediti s djelima koja su služila kao njihova inspiracija ili djela koja su uvela glazbene elemente koje umjetnik koristi.
Abstract (english)	In this paper, "The use of music in horror films", I will make a historical review of music in horror films. During the historical review, I will analyze key works and musical elements that characterized the creativity of individual composers and how they are essential for the progress and evolution of film music. In addition to the way of using musical elements, I will also refer to their dramaturgical function. I will also look at modern film composers and their works and compare them to works that served as their inspiration or works that introduced musical elements that the artist uses.
