Abstract	Zbog negativnog utjecaja fosilnih goriva na okoliš sve je veća potražnja za obnovljivim izvorima energije (OIE), a jedan od značajnijih oblika OIE jest poljoprivredna biomasa. Stoga je sve veći interes za uzgojem i korištenjem poljoprivrednih energetskih kultura, koje se uzgajaju isključivo za proizvodnju biomase, odnosno za proizvodnju energije te se razvijaju novi genotipovi koji potencijalno mogu imati visoke prinose uzgojem i na tlima lošije kvalitete. Cilj rada bio je istražiti energetska svojstva novih genotipova miskantusa, uzgojenih na pseudogleju, pH 5,5 – 6 u prvoj vegetacijskoj godini. U istraživanju je korištena biomasa energetske kulture miskantus i to 8 hibrida križanaca Miscanthus sinensis x Miscanthus sinensis. Analize su provedene standardnim metodama za utvrđivanje sadržaja vode, pepela, koksa, fiksiranog ugljika, hlapive tvari, makroelemenata te ogrjevne vrijednosti, a utjecaj vrste na mjerena svojstva testiran je analizom varijance (ANOVA). Dobiveni rezultati upućuju na to da su svojstva biomase novih genotipova u skladu s energetski značajnim kulturama te imaju poželjne karakteristike za energetsko iskorištavanje.
Abstract (english)	Due to the negative impact of fossil fuels on the environment, there is a growing demand for renewable energy sources (RES), and one of the most significant forms of RES is agricultural biomass. Therefore, there is a growing interest in the cultivation and use of agricultural energy crops, which are grown exclusively for biomass and energy production, and new genotypes are being developed that can potentially have high yields by growing on lower quality soils. The aim of this study was to analyze the energy properties of new miscanthus genotypes, grown on pseudogley, pH 5,5 – 6 in the first vegetation year. The biomass of miscanthus energy crops was used in the research with 8 hybrids of crossbreeds of Miscanthus sinensis x Miscanthus sinensis. The analyzes were performed by standard methods for determining the content of water, ash, coke, fixed carbon, volatile matter, macroelements and calorific value, and the influence of the species on the measured properties was tested by analysis of variance (ANOVA). The obtained results indicate that the biomass properties of the new genotypes are in line with energy-significant crops and have desirable characteristics for energy utilization.
