Abstract
Klijanje sjemena započinje samo ukoliko su zadovoljeni osnovni uvjeti klijanja poput dovoljne količine vode, topline i kisika. Međutim, kod nekih biljnih vrsta poput onih iz porodice Apiaceae neće doći do očekivanog klijanja ni u idealnim uvjetima što direktno utječe na ukupni prinos i prihod same proizvodnje tih kultura. Razlog tome je proces mirovanja (dormantnosti) sjemena, uglavnom uzrokovan prisutnošću inhibitora klijanja u sjemenoj ovojnici. Taj problem je osobito izražen u ekološkoj poljoprivredi gdje nije dozvoljena primjena kemijskih sredstava za tretiranje sjemena i gdje je veća ovisnost o prirodnim uvjetima. Cilj ovog rada bio je utvrditi prisutnost i utjecaj inhibitora klijanja u sjemenu peršina, mrkve i kopra na energiju klijanja i ukupnu klijavost te ispitati mogućnost njihovog uklanjanja primjenom predsjetvenih tretmana ispiranja sjemena. U prvoj fazi pokusa ispitivan je utjecaj destilirane vode, KMnO4 i EKO-RAST-a na klijanje sjemena navedenih vrsta, u usporedbi s netretiranim sjemenom (kontrola). Uzorci otopina u kojima se sjeme močilo korišteni su za naklijavanje sjemena rotkvice u drugom dijelu pokusa. Ovim istraživanjem dokazana je prisutnost inhibitora klijanja u sjemenoj ovojnici peršina, a najbolje su odstranjeni primjenom preparata EKO-RAST (80 % ukupne klijavosti). Za mrkvu i kopar primjena tretmana ispiranja sjemena nije potrebna niti ekonomski opravdana, budući da je visok postotak klijanja zabilježen upravo u kontrolnim netretiranim varijantama (90 % i 96,7 % ukupne klijavosti).

Seed germination begins only if the essential conditions are fulfilled such as: sufficient quantity of water, specific higher temperature and oxygen. However, some plant species such as the ones from the Apiaceae family will not germinate not even in adequate conditions which influence directly overall harvest and the production those cultures. The main reason is seed dormancy which is present because of inhibitors in seed coats of these species. This is especially problem in organic production where application of chemical products is not allowed and the need for natural conditions is higher. The aim of this study was to determine the presence and influence of germination inhibitors in seed of parsley, carrot and dill on germination viability, total germination and to test the possibility of their removal by applying soaking seed treatments before sowing. The influence of distilled water, KMnO4 and EKO-RAST on seed of parsley, carrot and dill was examined in the first phase of the experiment. Their comparison were made with seed in which has not been used any treatment of soaking (control). The solution samples were used for germination radish seed in the second part of the experiment. This study demonstrated the presence of inhibitors of germination in seed coat of parsley and they were best removed by using product EKO-RAST (80% of germination). The seed soaking treatment application for carrot and dill is not necessary and economically justifiable, since it was a high percentage of germination observed in the untreated control variants (90% and 96.7% germination).
