Abstract
Praćenje populacije divljih životinja koje nastanjuju i često su rasprostranjene diljem šumskih staništa, teško je i/ili vrlo skupo. Utvrđivanje brojnog stanja životinja presudno je za izradu učinkovitih lovno-gospodarskih osnova, njihovog očuvanja i stabilne populacije svake vrste divljači. S ciljem da se utvrdi brojno stanje dviju glavnih vrsta na otoku Rabu u državnom otvorenom lovištu VII/6 ''Kalifront'' dizajnirana je studija koja je provedena u trajanju od 12 mjeseci, točnije od 1. travnja 2015. do 31. ožujka 2016. godine. Ukupno trajanje studije je 8.784 sata. Glavni cilj studije bio je utvrditi vrstu, pojedinačnu identifikaciju (spol), lokaciju, datum i vrijeme aktivnosti divljači na dnevnoj i noćnoj bazi te njihovu međusobnu interakciju. Korišteno je 9 kamera na 9 različitih lokacija diljem poluotoka Kalifront. Vremenski intervali između fotografija su 5 minuta. Ukupno je zabilježeno 122.082 fotografija od kojih je u excel programu obrađeno 71.582 fotografija. Najvećim dijelom zabilježeni su europski muflon (Ovis aries musimon) i jelen aksis (Axis axis). Od ostalih vrsta zabilježeni su europski zec (Lepus europaeus), divlja mačka (Felis silvestris) i kuna zlatica (Martes martes). Rezultati dobiveni uz pomoć kamera za praćenje obrađeni su u statističkom programu R 3.0.2 te je utvrđena međusobna interakcija i preklapanje dinamike jelena aksisa i muflona. Kako bi se utvrdila aktivnost preklapanja korišten je koeficijent overlap. Overlap analizom dobiven je rezultat koji iznosi 0,8 što znači da su preklapanja jelena aksisa i muflona pozitivna. Metodom deskriptivne statistike prikazan je minimalan i maksimalan broj divljači na temelju standardne devijacije između muflona koji iznosi 2,03 i jelena aksisa 2,63.

It is difficult and/or very expensive to monitor the population of wild animals that commonly inhabit and are prevalent in forest habitats. Furthermore, determining the number of animals is crucial for establishing wildlife management, their preservation and a stable population of every game species. Namely, a study was designed on the island of Rab in an open state hunting ground named VII/6 “Kalifront” that lasted twelve months (from April 1st 2015 to March 31st 2016) and whose main goal was to determine the number of two main species on that island. The total duration of this study was 8.784 hours. The main aim was to determine the species, individual identification (gender), location, date and time of diurnal and nocturnal wildlife activitiy, as well as their mutual interaction. For this purpose, nine camera traps were used on nine different locations throughout the peninsula Kalifront. The time intervals between two photographs were five minutes. Therefore, there is a total of 122.082 photographs, of which 71.582 were processed in Exel. On most photographs we can see the European mouflon (Ovis Aries musimon) and the Axis deer (Axis axis). Other recorded animals are the European hare (Lepus europaeus), the Wildcat (Felis silvestris) and the European pine marten (Martes martes). The results gained through camera traps were processed in the statistical programme R 3.0.2, which confirmed the mutual interaction and overlap of dynamics between the Axis deer and the European mouflon. Consequently, the overlap analysis showed a result of 0.8 which means that the overlap between the Axis deer and the European mouflon is positive. The descriptive statistic method depicted the minimal and maximal game number based on the standard deviation between the European mouflon which is 2,03 and the Axis deer 2,63.
