Abstract
Školjkarstvo na Jadranu ima dugu tradiciju, a počeci komercijalnog uzgoja bilježe se već u prvoj polovici 19. stoljeća. Akvakultura je u svijetu prepoznata kao veoma bitan proizvođač hrane, a dagnja tu zauzima važno mjesto. U ovom istraživanju glavni cilj bio je utvrditi razliku kvalitete mesa dagnji iz otvorenog mora i uzgoja. Uzorci su prikupljeni sa tri lokacije, dvije iz otvorenog mora i jedne iz uzgoja. Izmjerena su tri morfometrijska parametra, te je izračunat volumen i indeks kondicije. Rezultati analize uzoraka pokazuju da je prosječna ukupna masa najveća kod uzoraka iz uzgoja dok je kod istih ustanovljena najmanja prosječna masa ljuske. Prosječna masa mesa najveća je bila kod uzoraka sa otvorenog mora i to s lokacije Krk. Dužina i visina ljušture dagnje u prosjeku je bila najmanja kod uzoraka iz uzgoja isto kao i prosječan volumen, a prosječna širina ljušture kod istih uzoraka bila je najveća. Najveći raspon indeksa kondicije utvrđen je kod uzorka iz uzgoja i on je iznosio 28,47 – 54,48 %. Mogući razlog za to je pregust nasad koji dagnjama smještenima u sredini pergolara onemogućuje nesmetan pristup hrani. Korelacija dužine i indeksa kondicije dokazana je samo kod uzoraka iz uzgoja, izračunat r2 iznosio je 0,085 što znači da 8,5 % varijacije indeksa kondicije potječe od varijacije ukupne dužine ljušture.

Shellfish in the Adriatic has a long tradition, and the beginnings of commercial cultivation have been recorded in the first half of the 19th century. Aquaculture is the world's recognized as an important producer of food and mussels that occupies an important place. In this study, the main objective was to determine the difference of mussels meat quality from open sea and breeding. Samples were taken from three locations, two from open sea and one from breeding. Three morphometric parameters were measured, then volume and condition index was calculated. The results of samples analysis show that total average mass is largest from breeding samples while at the same set minimal shell mass was determined. The average meat mass was found in samples from the open sea on location Krk. Length and height of shell mussels in average was lowest in breeding samples as well as average volume. Average width of shells in the same samples was the largest. The largest range condition index was determined in breeding samples and it was from 28.47 to 54.48%. A possible reason for this is a dense plantation that prevents mussels placed in the middle unrestricted access to food. The correlation of length and condition index was proved only in specimens from cultivation. Calculated r2 was 0,085 which means that 8.5% of condition index variation derives from total shell length variation.
