Abstract
Streličarstvo, odnosno upotreba luka i strijele je jedna od najstarijih ljudskih metoda ratovanja i lova pa tako ima dugu i bogatu povijest. Kao lovačko oružje, luk i strijela danas su u širokoj primjeni diljem svijeta. Ulazeći u sve aspekte lova, a to su ekologija, ekonomija, tradicija, očuvanje bioraznolikosti i zaštita prirode, lov lukom trebao bi visoko zauzeti poziciju u svakom od njih. Proučen je utjecaj strijele i više vrsta lovačkih vrhova na oštećenje mesne mase, kao i mogućnost lova na našim prostorima. Izračunata je kinetička energija te objašnjeno djelovanje strijele. Minimalna kinetička energija (Vo) iznosila je 93,183 J te maksimalno 99,73 J. Široko rasprostranjena i velikih populacija, divlja svinja spada u lovno atraktivnu divljač s godišnje velikim brojem odstrijeljenih jedinki i samim time iskoristivom velikom mesnom masom. Luk i strijela stoje tako kao alternativa znatnom oštećenju mesne mase koje je uzrokovano puščanim zrnom. Uočeno je da oštrice prolaskom kroz tkivo ne oštećuju mesnu masu. Lov lukom jedna je od metoda koja odražava samo pozitivne strane lovstva općenito te pridonosi popularizaciji i shvaćanju pravih ciljeva lovstva od kojeg javnost često zazire.

Archery, or use of bow and arrow is one of the oldest human methods of warfare and hunting, but also has a long and rich history. As a hunting weapon, bow and arrow are now widely used around the world. Entering into all aspects of hunting, such as ecology, economy, tradition, preservation of biodiversity and nature protection, bowhunting should occupy a high position in any of them. The impact of few types of broadheads is examined on wild boar meat mass as well as the possibility of bowhunting in our region. Kinetic energy of hunting arrow is calculated and discussed. Minimal kinetic energy (Vo) was 93,183 J, maximum 99,73 J. Widespread and with huge populations, wild boar belongs to the most attractive game with a large number of killed individuals per year and therefore usable meat mass. Bow and arrow is also an alternative to substantial damage of the meat mass which is caused by a musket bullet. Meat mass was not damaged after arrow broadheads penetration. Bowhunting is one of the methods that reflects the positive aspects of hunting in general and contributes to the popularization and understanding of the true aims of hunting which the public often wary.
