Abstract
Efektivna veličina populacije (Ne) centralni je koncept u konzervacijskoj genetici. S obzirom na to da je iskustvo pokazalo kako su procjene temeljene na rodovniku često neprecizne, zbog nedostatnih i pogreš nih rodovnika i stohastičke prirode rekombinacije, za procjenu se koriste nove metode. Visoko -rezolutna genomska informacija kao najpolimorfnija informacija do sada, pokazala se puno preciznijom. Precizna procjena efektivne veličine populacije od velike je važnosti, posebice kada se za procjene koriste uzorci malih veličina. Najčešće korištena procjena je ona bazirana na „linkage disequilibrium-u“ (LD). Ovaj rad prikazuje kako koristeći osnovne postavke računalnog programa SNeP pri izračunima variraju vrijednosti Ne u odnosu na veličinu uzorka. Rezultati otkrivaju značajne razlike u procijenjenim NeLD pri veličinama uzoraka 10, 20, 30, (...), 100. Iako je navedena problematika relativno novijeg vijeka postoji nekoliko formula za korekciju, međutim ostaje pitanje koja je ona prava, te je nužno provoditi daljnja istraživanja kako bi se problem pristranosti riješio.

Effective population size (Ne) is a central concept in conservation genetics. Given that experience has shown that estimations based on pedigree are often imprecise because of insufficient and wrong pedigrees and also because of the stochastic nature of recombination, new methods are used for estimation. High density genomic information as the most polymorphic information up till now has been shown to be much more precise. Precise estimation of the effective population size is of great importance, especially when small size samples are used. The most commonly used estimation is the one based on linkage disequilibrium (LD). This paper shows how by using default settings of the SNeP software the values of Ne vary in relation to the sample size. The results reveal significant differences i n estimated NeLD at sample sizes 10, 20, 30, (...), 100. Although the issue at hand is relatively new, there are few equations for correction. However, the question remains which equation is the real one. It is necessary to conduct further research to find the solution to the problem of biased results.
