Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
Peach is a fruit species, most used in fresh state in the summer. It has a very juicy fruit tissue and is important for normal and diet human nutrition. Peach is attacked by a large number of pests, however regularly present and economically important pests are peach moth (Cydia molesta) and peach twig borer (Anarsia lineatella). These are pests of sprout and peach fruit. Damaged fruits of these pests can be afterwards infected with the fungus, fruit rot (Monilinia laxa). The research was conducted in the orchard of peach in northwestern part of the Croatian, more precisely in the Novaki bistranski. The flight of the peach moth (Cydia molesta) and peach twig borer (Anarsia lineatella) was monitored using pheromone traps. Monitoring showed a higher catch of peach moth, which indicated the need for suppression, and smaller catch of and peach twig borer. The paper describes the main features of Monilia, a disease which can occur as a result of damage from the attacks of peach twig borer and peach moth.
