Abstract
Zaraza bakterijom Erwinia amylovora (Burrill) Winslow et al. predstavlja ozbiljan problem u voćarstvu, uzrokujući štete koje mogu dovesti do propadanja pojedinih stabala, ali i cijelih nasada. Nedovoljna svjesnost voćara o značaju prijenosa inokuluma alatom za rezidbu, najčešći je uzrok širenja bolesti, osobito unutar istog voćnjaka. Istraživanje jačine inokuluma bakterije E. amylovora je provedeno u laboratoriju na tri para voćarskih škara. Od toga su dva para kontaminirana laboratorijski uzgojenom bakterijom Erwinia amylovora. Sve škare su ispirane destiliranom vodom te su priređivana razrjeđenja sakupljenih eluata. Razrjeđenja su uzgajana na hranjivoj podlozi NA. Ispiranje škara u nultom vremenu nakon kontaminacije dalo je pozitivan rezultat na hranjivoj podlozi. Ispiranja kontaminiranih škara nakon odležavanja 24 sata i 48 sati, u zatvorenim plastičnim vrećicama, dala su negativne rezultate. Škare koje nisu kontaminirane tokom istraživanja, dale su pozitivne rezultate u prva dva dana ispiranja i pokazale negativne u trećem danu ispiranja. Brisevi svih navedenih škara nakon ispiranja ukazali su na prisutnost inokuluma na svim škarama bez obzira na ispiranja. Nakon ispiranja vodom bakterijski inokulum je oslabljen, ali ne i uklonjen, čime se ova mjera pokazala nedostatnom za dekontaminaciju voćarskih škara.

Infection by bacterium Erwinia amylovora is one of the most serious problems in fruit growing, causing enormous damage leading to the deterioration of trees, even whole plantations. Fruit growers are not sufficiently aware about the importance of inoculum transfer thru pruning tools as the most common way of spreading the disease, especially within the same orchard. Laboratory research was carried out on three pairs of scissors. Two pairs were contaminated by laboratory-grown bacterium E. amylovora. All shears were rinsed with distilled water and it was further diluted. Dilutions were grown on a NA medium. Shears rinsed in time zero since contamination had a positive result on the culture medium. Rinsing shears, after they spent 24 and 48 hours closed in plastic bags, gave negative results. Shears that weren't contaminated during research gave positive results in the first two rinsings and showed negative results at the third rinsing. Smears of all mentioned shears after rinsing showed a presence of inoculum, regardless the rinse. After water rinsing the bacterial inoculum on shears is attenuated, but not eliminated, thus this measure is proved to be insufficient for shears decontamination.
