Abstract
Revitalizacija zapuštenih poljoprivrednih površina predstavlja jedan od važnijih problema hrvatske poljoprivrede. Kao jedno od mogućih rješenja dijela navedenog problema nameće se uvođenje višegodišnje energetske kulture Miscanthus x giganteus u intenzivnu poljoprivrednu proizvodnju. Navedenu kulturu karakterizira mogućnost uzgoja u različitima agroekološkim uvjetima, niski zahtjevi tijekom uzgoja te produkcija visokog prinosa lignocelulozne biomase. Obzirom da navedena kultura pokazuje zadovoljavajuće prinose i na tlima lošije kvalitete, uvođenje trave Miscanthus x giganteus ne bi utjecalo na trenutnu poljoprivrednu proizvodnju u Hrvatskoj odnosno na proizvodnju hrane za ljude i životinje. Glavne karakteristike trave Miscanthus x giganteus su: mogućnost uzgoja na tlima lošije kvalitete, velika otpornost na razne štetočinje i bolesti (nema tretiranja pesticidima), prirodan sterilni hibrid, mali zahtjevi za gnojidbom te visoka energetska vrijednost (17.05 do 19.21 MJ/kg). Cilj ovoga rada je utvrditi mogućnost uvođenja energetske kulture Miscanthus x gigateus na trenutno zapuštenim poljoprivrednim površinama u Hrvatskoj s ciljem njihove revitalizacije za potrebe proizvodnje energije. Temeljem dobivenih podataka utvrdit će se količina potencijalno dostupne biomase dobivene uzgojem trave Miscanthus x gigateus na takvim tlima te kvantitativne količine važnijih biogoriva koje se mogu dobiti njegovom preradom. Prikazati će se postupci njihove proizvodnje pomoću zgušnjavanja (biomasa), anaerobne fermentacije (bioplin) i fermentacije šećere pomoću kvasaca (etanol). Nadalje, utvrditi će se energetski potencijal istraživanih biogoriva na osnovi 5%, 10% i 15% potencijalno dostupnih trenutno zapuštenih površina.

Revitalization of abandoned agricultures lands presents one of the main problems of the Croatian agriculture. One of the possible solution could be the introduction of multiannual energy crop Miscanthus x giganteus in intensive agriculturel production. The said culture is characterized by the possibility of the growing in different agroecological conditions, low requirements during the growing and high yield production lignocellulosic biomass. Since that the said culture shows satisfact yields on soils of lower quality, by introduction of grass Miscanthus x giganteus would not affect the current agricultural production in Croatia and the production of food for humans and animals. The main characteristics of grass Miscanthus x giganteus are: the possibility of growing on soils of lower quality, high resistance to various pests and diseases (no pesticide treatments), natural sterile hybrid, small requirements for fertilizer, but high energy value (from 17.05 to 19.21 MJ/kg).The aim of this study is to determine the possibility of the introduction of energy crops (to znaći usjev) Miscanthus x gigateus on currently abandoned agricultural lands in Croatia with their revitalization goal for the needs of energy production. Based on the data obtained will be determined by the the amount of potentially available biomass obtained by cultivation of Miscanthus x gigateus on such soils and quantitative amounts of the most important biofuel that can get its processing. the methods of their production will be shown, using anaerobic fermentation (biogas) and sugars fermentation using yeast (ethanol) and it will determine the energy potential of reaserched biofuels based on a 5%, 10% and 15% of the potentially available surface, now abandoned.
