Abstract
Clostridium difficile je anaerobni, sporulirajući patogen, sve više istraživan zbog saznanja da je glavni uzročnik nozokomijalnih infekcija, odnosno infekcija koje se razvijaju u bolničkim uvjetima. Uočeno je da su u posljednjih dvadesetak godina te infekcije sve češće, što je direktno utjecalo na pojačano istraživanje ovog patogena i na traženje načina kako spriječiti širenje bakterije, ali i kako izliječiti pacijente koji su inficirani sa C. difficile
Abstract (english)
Clostridium difficile is an anaerobic, sporulating pathogen, significantly investigated because it is known that this bacteria is the major cause of nosocomial infections or more precisely infections that are developed in hospital conditions. It has been observed that in the last twenty years, these infections were developed more often, which has directly influenced the investigation of this pathogen and searching the way how to prevent spreading this bacteria, and also how to cure patients infected with C. difficile.
