Abstract
Zbrinjavanje animalnog otpada je regulirano strogom zakonskom regulativom. Iz dostupnih podataka o zbrinutom i ukupno nastalom animalnom otpadu u Republici Hrvatskoj je vidljivo da se velik dio animalnog otpada ne zbrinjava u skladu sa zakonom. U ovom radu prikazano je istraživanje raspada mišićnog i koštanog tkiva u tlu, te su provedene analize TOC, TN, pH i električna provodnost tijekom 219 dana. Maksimalne vrijednosti su izmjerene nakon 209 dana trajanja eksperimenta. Raspadom animalnog otpada u tlu nastaje visoko koncentrirani eluat, koji ispiranjem i cijeđenjem zagađuje akvatičke sustave. Nedostatak korelacije reaktora i vrijednosti ukupnog dušika ukazuju na to da postoji razlika u mineralizaciji dušika u različitom supstratu. Korelacija između vrijednosti ukupnog organskog ugljika i reaktora ukazuje na to da ne postoji razlika u mineralizaciji ugljika u različitom supstratu. Za ovaj diplomski rad je pripremljena nastavna jedinica: Kruženje ugljika u prirodi za osmi razred Osnovne škole. Obradom ove nastavne jedinice učenici će steći znanja o izvorima ugljika u prirodi i kruženju ugljika u prirodi, te će biti sposobni povezati kruženje ugljika u prirodi sa utjecajem staklenika. Također, biti će sposobni samostalno provesti pokus kojim će dokazati da je CO2 staklenički plin i zaključiti što je utjecaj staklenika.

The disposal of animal waste is regulated by stringent regulation. Available data on amount of disposed and created animal waste shows that large portion of animal waste in Croatia is not disposed according to the Law. This study examined degradation of muscle and bone tissue, analyzing TOC, TN, pH and electrical conductivity during period of 219 days. Peak concentration were reached after 209 days of experiment. Degradation of animal waste indicates high concentrated leachate which pollute aquatic systems. Lack of correlation between reactors and total nitrogen indicates that there is difference between different types of soil in nitrogen mineralization. Correlation between total organic carbon and reactors indicates that there is no difference between different types of soil in carbon mineralization. Teaching unit Cycle of Carbon in nature for Middleschool students has been prepared in this graduation thesis. Through this teaching lesson students will understand sources of carbon in nature and cycle of carbon in nature. Students will be capable of connecting cycle of carbon in nature with greenhouse effect. An experiment is envisaged to demonstrate CO2 as a greenhouse gas and conclude what is the greenhouse effect.
