Abstract
Proces fotosinteze započinje apsorpcijom fotona svijetlosti uz pomoć fotosintetskih pigmenata. U listu ta energija može biti iskorištena na tri načina: dio energije ulazi u proces fotosinteze, dio disipira u obliku topline, a dio disipira u obliku fotona crvene svijetlosti što rezultira fluorescencijom klorofila a. Istraživanje je rađeno na četiri sorte ječma (Hordeumvulgare L.): Astor, Jaran, Scarlett i Fran. Cilj istraživanja bio je istražiti učinkovitost fotosustava II tijekom klasanja ječma te utvrditi postoji li povezanost između koncentracije klorofila a i aktivnosti fotosustava II. Porast fluorescencije klorofila a odredila sam OJIP-testom. Koncentraciju fotosintetskih pigmenata sam odredila spektrofotometrijski. Najveća učinkovitost fotosustava II zabilježena je na kraju klasanja ječma kada su izmjerene vrijednosti parametara PI i TRO/ABS bile najveće.Koncentracija klorofila a raste tijekom klasanja ječma da bi na kraju klasanja njegova koncentracija bila najveća, dok daljnjim razvojem ona opada što je potvrđeno smanjenjem RC/SCO.

The process of photosynthesis is beginning by photon absorption of light mediated with photosynthetic pigments. Leavesare using light energy in three ways: one part goes into the process of photosynthesis, another one dissipates as heat and thirdone as photons of red light showing the chlorophyll a fluorescence. Study was performed on four varieties of barley(Hordeum vulgare L.): Astor, Jaran Scarlett and Fran. The aim of this study was to investigate the efficiency of photosystem II during the barley heading and correlate it with the concentration of chlorophyll a. The rise of chlorophyll a fluorescence was determined by OJIP-test. The concentration of photosynthetic pigments was measured spectrophotometrically. The highest efficiency of photosystem II was observed at the end of barley heading what was demonstrated with highest values of the parameters PI and TRO/ABS. Chlorophyll a concentration raised during barley heading and at the end of heading it was the highest. It decreased during the on going development what was confirmed by reducing RC/SCO.
