Abstract
Polazeći od definicije pojma distribucije kao skupa aktivnosti koje su povezane s prometovanjem gospodarskih dobara između proizvođača i krajnjih potrošača, u radu je pažnja usmjerena na definiranje pojma distribucije u uvjetima digitalizacije i globalizacije, odnosno u uvjetima brzorastućeg gospodarstva koji se svakodnevno susreće s novim izazovima i načinima kako ostati konkurentan. Distribucija je s naglim razvojem informacijske tehnologije doživjela brojne promjene, te se od klasičnih modela poslovanja poput veletrgovine i malotrgovine, morala prilagoditi poslovanju u uvjetima elektroničke trgovine gdje su jednostavnost narudžbe, sigurnost transakcije i brzina dostave proizvoda najvažniji elementi u poslovanju. Suvremni načini poslovanja gospodarskog subjekta, poput korištenja web stranica u zamjenu za klasične fizičke trgovine, odražavaju koliko je u vremenu digitalizacije bitna fleksibilnost prema zahtjevima krajnjih potrošača, ali i težnja gospodarskog subjekta smanjenu troškova proizvodnje, te troškova distribucije. Distribucija je postala jedna od najvažnijih aktivnosti u logističkom kanalu jer njezina je uloga osigurati opskrbu krajnjeg potrošača u pravo vrijeme, na pravom mjestu i s odgovarujućim proizvodom, stoga ne čudi kako gospodarski subjekti ulažu sredstva upravo u kanal distribucije što im na kraju donosi broje uštede poput smanjenih troškova skladištenja, ali i pozitivne povratne informacije potrošača, što je i glavni cilj poslovanja jednog gospodarskog subjekta.

Starting from the definition of the concept of distribution as a set of activities that are associated with the operations of commercial goods between the manufacturers have the final consumer, attention is focused on defining the distribution in terms of digitization and globalization, and in terms of fast-growing economy, which constantly faces new challenges and ways to remain competitive. Distribution in terms of the rapid development of information technology has experienced a number of changes, and of the classical model of business such as wholesale and retail trade, have to adapt to the business in terms of electronic commerce where the simplicity of the order, the security of transactions and speed of delivery of the product the most important elements of the business. Modern ways of business management, such as the use of websites in exchange for classical physical store, reflect how in time of digitizing important flexibility to consumers, but also the tendency of the economic entity reduced the cost of production and distribution. Distribution has become one of the most important activities in the logistics channel because its role is to ensure the supply to the final consumer at the right time, the right place and with appropriate product, it is not surprising that economic operators invest funds just in distribution channel because they in the end returns counted savings such as reduced storage costs, as well as positive feedback from consumers.
