Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
Each market consists of a specific number of manufacturers and customers. In some markets there are more manufacturers and fewer customers, some have only one or two manufacturers, so it is possible to have more situations. The imperfect competition is a market situation in which the fundamental determination is the existence of market power. The imperfect competition includes monopoly, monopoly competition and oligopoly. In these market situations, producers with a certain power over prices are in a more favorable position. Monopoly is a complete contradiction to perfect competition; it implies the existence of only one manufacturer. On monopoly market it is usually impossible to enter. The monopoly determines the price of product or service, but it is still facing the market demand set by the law of demand. There is a larger number of companies and customers in monopolistic competition, and product differentiation is a major feature. The monopolistic competition market is free to enter. Oligopoly is very interesting to study because there are several companies in this market situation that can reach a monopoly price through price leadership or through secret agreements. On the market of an oligopoly it is not easy to enter or exit due to the existence of different barriers.
