Abstract
Ovaj rad je usredotočen na opcije, koje predstavljaju ugovore koji vlasniku ili kupcu ugovora daju pravo na kupnju (kupovna opcija) ili prodaju (prodajna opcija) vezane (temeljne) imovine po određenoj cijeni (izvršna ili udarna cijena), na određeni datum (rok dospijeća) ili u određenom razdoblju u budućnosti. Opcije su izvedenice, što znači da njihova vrijednost proizlazi iz vrijednosti temeljnog instrumenta, a to su najčešće dionice. Ostali oblici imovine na temelju koje se može napraviti izvedeni vrijednosni papir su primjerice: dionički indeksi, državne vrijednosnice, strane valute, poljoprivredne roba ili industrijske proizvode. Ukoliko su dionice vezana imovina tada jedan opcijski ugovor glasi na 100 dionica. Također, postoji određena razlika između američkih i europskih tipova opcija. Američke opcije mogu se izvršiti u bilo kojem trenutku tijekom životnog vijeka opcije, dok se europske opcije mogu izvršiti samo na datum dospijeća opcije. Osim navedenog, predmet ovog rada je implementacija strategija trgovanja opcijama, a koje uključuju istovremenu kupnju i/ili prodaju različitih opcijskih ugovora, a koji omogućuju trgovcima dobit od kretanja cijena vezane imovine na temelju rastućih, padajućih ili neutralnih tržišnih kretanja. Investitoru na raspolaganju stoje mnoge strategija trgovanja opcijama koje može primijeniti ovisno o osobnim predviđanjima u kojem smjeru će se kretati cijena vezane dionice (ili nekog drugog temeljnog instrumenta).
Abstract (english)
This paper focuses on options, which are contracts which give the holder or the buyer of the contract the right to buy (call option), or sell (put option) the underlying at a certain price (strike or exercise price), at a certain date (expiry date) or within a certain period in the future. Options are derivatives, which means their value is derived from the value of an underlying investment. Most frequently the underlying investment is the stock shares. Other underlying investments on which options can be based include stock indexes, government securities, foreign currencies, agricultural commodities or industrial products. Stock options contracts are for 100 shares of the underlying stock. Also, there is certain difference between two types of options: American and European. American options can be redeemed at any time during the option’s life, but European options can be redeemed only on the option's expiry date. Also, the subject of this paper is the implementation of option trading strategies which involves the simultaneous purchase and/or sale of different option contracts, and which allow traders to profit from movements in the underlying assets based on bullish, bearish or neutral market sentiment. And there are many types of option trading strategies that can be applied, depending on the investor's prediction of which direction the underlying stock (or other underlying asset) is going to move.
