Abstract
Savršenu konkurenciju karakterizira veliki broj proizvođača jednog dobra, veliki broj kupaca, neograničena mobilnost inputa, outputa i poduzeća, potpuna informiranost svih sudionika o cijenama i sl.

Parallel abstract (English)
The market is the main driver of the economy of each country. The simplest definition of the market, says the market is a place where supply and demand meet, the place where one side want to buy a product, while another side want to sell it at a defined price. The most important kinds of market structures are perfect competition, monopoly, imperfect competition where the insides of imperfect competition are monopolistic competition and oligopoly. Beside oligopoly, there also will be defined duopoly. The perfect competition is actually possible only in theory. The typical characteristics of perfect competition are a large number of manufacturers of one same product, a large number of consumers, unrestricted mobility of inputs, outputs and firms, fully informed participants about prices, etc. More realistic market structure is imperfect competition, i.e., monopolistic competition or oligopoly. Monopolistic competition is a structure where a large number of small firms supply related but somewhat differentiated products. On the other side, oligopoly is a market structure where a few sellers of a similar or differentiated product supply the industry. Oligopoly, depending on the type of products, can be pure oligopoly or differentiated oligopoly. In this paper, the largest part will discuss about monopoly. Monopoly is a market structure where exists only one manufacturer and there is no competition. This paper will analyze monopoly firms which existed or still exist in the Republic of Croatia.
