Abstract
U globalnoj ekonomiji, strane direktne investicije (FDI) predstavljaju najznačajniji oblik međunarodnog kretanja kapitala. One ne predstavljaju samo prekogranično kretanje kapitala, već uključuju i transfer tehnologije i znanja te na taj način doprinose rastu konkurentnosti, zaposlenosti i međunarodnoj trgovini, a kao posljedica toga, i ekonomskom rastu i razvoju lokalnog gospodarstva. Nedavni pad globalnih tijekova kapitala, kao posljedica svjetske ekonomske krize koja je započela 2008. godine u SAD-u, izazvao je zabrinutost po pitanju očekivanog rasta svjetskog gospodarstva u cjelini, a posebno post- tranzicijskih zemalja. Globalna kriza ima značajan negativni utjecaj na FDI zemalja Središnje i Istočne Europe. Također, utjecaj krize nije bio jednak u svim zemljama CEE Europe, već je negativni utjecaj varirao s obzirom na stupanj ekonomske razvijenosti zemlje i otvorenosti prema kapitalnim kretanjima pojedinačne zemlje primateljice.
Abstract (english)
In global economy, foreign direct investments (FDI) are the most significant form of international capital flows. They are more then international capital movements, they also include the transfer of technology and knowledge thus contributing to the growth of competitiveness, employment and international trade, and as a consequence, economic growth and development of the local economy. The recent decline in global capital flows, as a result of the world economic crisis that began 2008. in the USA, has raised concerns about the expected growth of the world economy as a whole, especially in post-transition countries. The global crisis has a significant negative impact on FDI of the countries in Central and Eastern Europe. In addition, the impact of the crisis was not the same in all CEE countries, but the negative impact varies according to degree of economic development of the country and the openness towards the capital flows of the recipient country.
