Abstract	With this undergraduate thesis I would like to point out the vast possibilities and growth potential of the wood industry, mostly of Croatian, but European markets as well. I have chosen this type of industry because it has enormous potential to spread and compete on both markets. Wood industry in almost all countries in the world has important role in total national economy. Such economy is reflected through contribution from number of employees, number of firms and other economic effects that are directly connected to the industry. Wider social contributions that are aimed to develop rural areas, and enlarge harmonization of the overall country development processes are of important role as well. Wood industry is divided on several key activities such as wood processing and wood products, furniture and paper production, etc. It is general classification in all European countries, and in Croatia as well. Accordingly, all work and paperwork analysis will be processed in such way. Globalization, accelerated market changes, technology developments and increasingly demanding customers are all consequences of numerous trends happening constantly within these industries.
