Abstract
U današnje vrijeme je komunikacija strojeva jedno od najbrže rastućih područja u telekomunikacijama uz predviđanje da će do 2020. godine 26 milijardi uređaja biti međusobno povezani. M2M uređaji imaju širok spektar primjerne u zdravstvu, sportu, sigurnosti, prijevozu, medicini itd. U osnovi, u bilo kojem području gdje se prikupljaju podaci iz okoline bez ljudskog utjecaja. Većina tih uređaja, kao izvor napajanja, koriste malene baterije u obliku novčića koje se brzo potroše uz konstantan rad tako da je bilo potrebno razviti protokol koji će omogućiti brz prijenos podataka uz što manju potrošnju energije. Za razliku od konekcijski orijentiranih prethodnih inačica protokola Bluetooth, novi protokol Bluetooth 4 je orijentiran na prijenos podataka tako da se veza između uređaja zatvara čim je prijenos gotov. U završnom radu je opisan algoritam komunikacije između perifernog uređaja, koji je implementiran na uređaju Waspmote, koji sakuplja podatke iz okoline te šalje te podatke centralnom uređaju, implementiranom na uređaju Android. Podaci poslani s uređaja Waspmote su vidljivi unutar aplikacije na uređaju Android.
Abstract (english)
Machine-to-Machine Communication Based on Protocol Bluetooth 4 Today machine-to-machine communication is one the fastest growing areas in telecommunications with prediction that, by 2020., there will be over 26 billion interconneceted devices. M2M has wide area of application, ranging from health care, sport, security, transportation, medicine etc. Basically, wherever there is need to collect data from ambience without human interaction. Most of those devices, as power source, use small coin size batteries that, with steady usage, lose their power pretty quickly so there was need to develop protocol that will enable fast data transmission with low power usage. Unlike connection oriented previous versions of Bluetooth protocol, new Bluetooth 4 protocol is data transfer oriented which means that, as soon as transfer is completed, connection between devices is closed. This thesis investigates data transmission between Bluetooth 4 devices describing communication algorithm between peripheral device, implemented on Waspmote device, which collects data from its surrounding and then transmits it to central device implement on Android device. Data sent from Waspmote device is seen inside of our application on Android device.
