Abstract	Este trabajo de fin de grado describirá el pretérito imperfecto de subjuntivo, sus valores y usos. Dicho tiempo tiene dos formas, una en -ra y otra en -se que se pueden intercambiar entre sí. Ambas provienen del latín. Este tiempo es peculiar puesto que puede expresar acciones pasadas, presentes y futuras. Se usa tanto en oraciones independientes como en subordinadas. Además, dispone de una gama de valores y significados y se usa en diferentes contextos sintácticos. Este trabajo tiene dos partes. La parte teórica se basará en la Nueva gramática de la lengua española de la Real Academia Española. Los ejemplos que se usarán serán tomados de la novela contemporánea Los enamoramientos de Javier Marías. El objetivo de este trabajo es describir el pretérito imperfecto de subjuntivo y las reglas gramaticales en el español actual.
Abstract (croatian)	U ovome će se završnom radu opisati imperfekt konjunktiva, njegove vrijednosti i upotrebe. Njegovi nastavci imaju dvije forme koje se međusobno mogu izmjenjivati. Oba nastavka potječu iz latinskog. Ovo vrijeme posebno je zanimljivo jer može izreći radnje u prošlosti, sadašnjosti i budućnosti. Imperfekt konjunktiva koristi se i u jednostavnim i u zavisnim rečenicama. Također, može imati vrlo mnogo vrijednosti i upotreba te se koristi u raznolikim sintaktičkim kontekstima. Rad ima dva dijela. Za teorijski dio opisa samog vremena, kao relevantnu gramatiku koristit će se gramatika Španjolske kraljevske akademije. Teorijski dio rada bit će potkrijepljen primjerima iz suvremenog španjolskog romana Zaljubljivanja, autora Javiera Maríasa. Cilj ovog rada je opisati imperfekt konjunktiva te pravila opisana u gramatikama sa stvarnom upotrebom u suvremenom španjolskom jeziku.
