Abstract
Mobilni telefoni postali su svakodnevno korišteni uređaji modernog društva i na njima postoje aplikacije za brojne potrebe. Kako su knjižnice uvijek išle u korak s razvojem tehnologije, mobilna knjižnična aplikacija važan je korak pružanja knjižničnih usluga korisnicima. Na tragu orijentiranosti prema korisniku u pružanju knjižničnih usluga nastalo je i ovo istraživanje kojem je cilj istražiti važnost određenih funkcionalnosti mobilnih knjižničnih aplikacija za studente. U prvom dijelu rada pružiti će se teorijski okvir primjene mobilnih aplikacija u knjižničnom okruženju s posebnim naglaskom na njihovu funkcionalnost. U drugom dijelu rada analizirati će funkcije unutar postojećih izabranih aplikacija te će se ispitati stavovi i motivacija korisnika za korištenje mobilnih aplikacija. Završni dio će na temelju teorijskih postavki, analize postojećih aplikacija i rezultata ankete dati prijedlog temeljnih funkcionalnih zahtjeva koje bi svaka mobilna knjižnična aplikacija trebala ispunjavati.
Abstract (english)
Mobile phones have become everyday devices of modern society and they have applications for numerous needs. As libraries have always kept pace with the development of technology, the mobile library application is an essential step in providing library services to users. This research was created with the intention of providing a user-friendly experience for library services. The aim of this research is to investigate the importance of certain features of mobile library applications. The first focus of this master thesis is to analyse the theoretical framework of mobile applications with special emphasis on their functionality. In the second part, the functions of existing selected applications will be analyzed. A survey was conducted about attitudes and motivations of users for using mobile applications. The final part is based on theoretical literature, analysis of existing applications and survey results which will indicate basic functional requirements that every mobile library application should fulfil.
