Abstract
Ovaj rad bavi se primjenom računalnih simulacija logističkih procesa, a u užem smislu analizira se računalna simulacija skladišnog procesa. Računalne simulacije često su korišteni alat u analizi logističkih sustava zbog njihove složene i dinamične prirode, a koriste se u projektiranju još neizgrađenih ili analizi stvarnih sustava. Pomoću simulacijskih modela moguće je evaluirati efikasnost sustava i svih njegovih dijelova, odrediti moguće nedostatke te testirati razna rješenja za poboljšanje. Zadatak ovog diplomskog rada je izrada simulacijskog modela Radio Shuttle paletnog regalnog skladišnog sustava koji se tek planira izgraditi. Radio Shuttle regalni skladišni sustav moderan je skladišni sustav u kojem se proizvodi transportiraju pomoću specijalno dizajniranih vozila koja putuju kroz regale i omogućavaju brz protok proizvoda i prilagodbu na različite zahtjeve kupaca. Simulacijskim modelom testiralo bi se takvo zamišljeno rješenje u vidu potrebnog kapaciteta i protoka te pronašao optimalan broj transportnih sredstava za uspješno funkcioniranje skladišnog sustava.
Abstract (english)
The main aim of this thesis is to explore the application of computer simulations of logistics processes with the emphasis on the simulations of warehousing processes. Logistics processes are often simulated because of their dynamics and complexity. Computer simulations are frequently used as tools for designing potential systems and for the analysis of already existing systems. It is possible to evaluate the performance of all system components, identify possible deficiencies and test various solutions for improvement by using simulation models. The purpose of this project is to create a simulation model of the Radio Shuttle Pallet Rack System which is planned to be built. Radio Shuttle Rack System is a modern storage system where products are transported by specially designed vehicles that travel through the racks, thus enabling rapid product flow and quick adaptation to different customer’s requirements. The required storage capacity and flow rate of the aforementioned storage system are tested by the simulation model. Also, the results of the simulation are used for determining the optimal number of vehicles required for the storage system’s adequate functionality.
