Abstract
Prateći trend demografskog starenja stanovništva Republika Hrvatska se približila razvijenim zemljama Europe gdje zauzima osmo mjesto sa 20.1% stanovništva životne dobi 65 i više godina ( Eurostat 2018. ). Udio starog stanovništva u Hrvatskoj je svakim danom sve veći čemu najviše doprinosi današnji način života i emigracija mladih. Unatoč sve većem broju starijih osoba u društvu, još uvijek je mali broj istraživanja koja se bave kvalitetom života tog dijela populacije. Cilj ovog rada je bio istražiti zadovoljstvo životom starijih osoba. Istraživanje se provodilo u Domu za starije i nemoćne „ Mali Kartec“ u Krku i u općoj populaciji po metodi grude snijega, a u istraživanju koristili su se sljedeći upitnici: opći upitnik pod imenom "Zdravstvena anketa", upitnik zadovoljstva života – MANSA te gerijatrijska skala depresije. U istraživanju je sudjelovao 131 ispitanik od kojih 65 (49,6%) živi u domu za starije osobe, dok 66 (50,4%) ispitanika živi u vlastitom smještaju. Prosječna dob ispitanika iznosila je 77,4 godine i kretala se u rasponu od 65 do 94 godine života. Istraživanjem je obuhvaćeno 45 (34,4%) muškaraca i 86 (65,6%) žena.
Abstract (english)
Following the trend of demographic ageing Republic of Croatia approached more developed countries of European Union where it ranks eight with 20.1% of the population aged 65 years or over ( Eurostat 2018. ). Share of the old population grows bigger by each day and the two biggest contributors to that are today`s way of life and youth emigration. Despite the increasing number of elderly people in society, there is still small number of researches that deal with the quality of life of that part of the population. The aim of this paper was to explore quality of life in elderly people. Research took place in the nursing home “ Mali Kartec” in Krk and in general population by snowball method, following questionnaires were used in this research: a general questionnaire called “Health survey”, questionnaire of life satisfaction – MANSA and the geriatric scale of depression. 131 respondents participated in the research, of whom 65 (49.6%) lives in the nursing home, while 66 (50.4%) of the respondents lives in their own accommodation. The average age of respondents was 77.4 years and ranged from 65 to 94 years. The study covered 45 (34.4%) men and 86 (65.6%) women.
