Alcohol is a substance that is globally applied among the human population. Because of its wide use, it has become a problem, and experts have been included among addictive agents due to its depressive effect. Traditional reasons, social components are just some of the reasons why alcohol is so widely used among people. The health system is heavily burdened with a variety of diseases, and one of the reasons for such a burden is alcohol, which creates various complications that cause man-to-heart illnesses in humans. The aim of the paper is to examine how many nursing students know about acute alcohol intoxication and how prepared they are to work with such patients. Respondents and Methods of Work - The study was conducted at the Faculty of Health Sciences Rijeka between the students of nursing in the first and third year of the regular course. The study was attended by 61 students, 17 from the first year, 18 from the second year and 26 from the third year. The research was conducted in May 2018. Before filling in the online survey questionnaire, students are familiar with the fact that they are anonymity and that data is used exclusively for writing a final undergraduate degree. Results - It is proven that nursing students know enough about acute learning, considering that the resolution of the survey is more than 50% correct. Students coming from secondary medical schools had a slightly better result than colleagues who came from other high schools. Conclusion - The education of nursing students towards alcoholic illness is good enough to prepare them for working with patients in such a condition.
