Abstract
Infekcija bakterijom Heliobacter pylori jedna je od najčešćih infekcija na svijetu, te se procjenjuje da je njome zaraženo 50 % ukupne populacije. Incidencija infekcije bakterijom Heliobacter pylori veća je u zemljama u razvoju zbog nedostatka razvijenog javnog zdravstva i standarda održavanja osobne higijene. S obzirom na raširenost infekcije, važno je osigurati isplativu i učinkovitu dijagnostiku bakterije Heliobacter pylori. Invazivne su metode pouzdanije od neinvazivnih no taj se jaz smanjuje napretkom i korištenjem modernih tehnologija. Istraživanje provedeno na KBC-u Rijeka na uzoru od 40 ispitanika pokazalo je kako je patohistološka dijagnostika najpouzdanija metoda detekcije infekcije bakterijom H. pylori. HP Quick test je isplativiji i dostupniji, no potrebno ga je koristiti paralelno s drugim dijagnostičkim alatima ako postoji sumnja u infekciju nakon negativnog rezultata. HP Quick test pokazao je dovoljnu razinu pouzdanosti da se može koristiti za detekciju bakterije H. Pylori. Potrebno je provesti istraživanje na većem uzorku kako bi se potvrdili rezultati ovog istraživanja.
Abstract (english)
Heliobacter pylori infection is one of the most often infections in the world, estimated to infect approximately 50 % of the world's population. Incidence of the infection is higher in the developing countries in relation to the developed ones because of the more developed public healthcare system and higher degree of the personal hygiene. Because the infection is so widespread, it's important to ensure cost effective and reliable detection of the Heliobacter pylori bacteria. There is a gap between invasive and non-invasive methods of diagnostics, but it's getting smaller with science progress and the use of the modern technologies. This research was conducted on the 40 patients of the Clinical Hospital Centre Rijeka with suspicion on Heliobacter pylori infection. The results showed that the pathohistological diagnostics was the most reliable method of all diagnostic methods used in the analysis. HP quick test was cheaper and more accessible, but for the successful diagnostic it must be used in conjunction with the other diagnostic test if there is still suspicion of the infection present after the negative result. HP quick test showed a sufficient level of reliability to be used as a diagnostic method in the detection of the Heliobacter pylori infection. To support that conclusion more comprehensive research is needed, preferably on the larger sample of patients.
