Abstract
Stoljećima, pa čak i tisućljećima, ljudska aktivnost nije u većoj mjeri utjecala na čistoću okoliša i kvalitetu zraka. To se mijenja u trenutku kada dolazi do razvoja industrije. Ubrzanim razvojem društvenih zajednica dolazi do sve većeg štetnog utjecaja ljudi na životni okoliš. Danas je situacija i mnogo ozbiljnija, pa tako visoke koncentracije onečišćavala imaju izuzetno snažan utjecaj na okoliš i ljudsko zdravlje. Svojim djelima čovjek je uzrokovao mnoge negativne posljedice koje su pridonijele onečišćenju i rapidnom snižavanju kvalitete zraka na Zemlji. Primjera za to ima mnogo, poput industrijskog smoga, kiselih kiša, ubrzanog uništavanja ozonskog sloja, kao i krčenja šuma, što dovodi do gotovo nesagledivih posljedica na atmosferu. Redovito praćenje kvalitete zraka u Republici Hrvatskoj provodi se zbog očuvanja zadovoljavajuće kvalitete zraka jer ustavno pravo svih građana je pravo na čisti zrak.
Abstract (english)
For centuries, and even millennia, human activity has not had a major impact on environmental cleanliness and air quality. It started to change when industrial development took place. Fast development of social communities leads to an increasing harmful impact of people on the environment. Today, the situation is so serious that such high concentrations of pollutants have an enormous impact on the environment and human health. Man`s actions have caused many negative consequences that have contributed to pollution and the rapid decline of air quality on the Earth, such as industrial smog, acid rain, an increase in the destruction of the ozone layer, as well as deforestation, which have almost unforeseeable consequences for the atmosphere. Constant air quality monitoring in the Republic of Croatia is carried out in order to preserve satisfactory air quality, because the constitutional law of all citizens is the right to clean air.
