Abstract Postepenim razvitkom kroz stoljeća brod je svojom konstrukcijom i izgledom korišten
industrija postane veoma cijenjen segment.
Rijeka u smislu
administrativnog sjedišta, a Pula u smislu najrazvijenijeg grada.
Abstract (english) Through the centuries, the gradual development of the ships, with its construction and
design was used for different purposes. From the ordinary trunk for transportation of food and
man, the development of the ship went through many stages, to the extent, that now the world
has develop complex shipyards. The existence of those shipyards allowed the shipbuilding
industry to become highly valued segment.
A Croatian shipyard had its ups and downs, but in these uncertain moments
nevertheless managed to preserve the industry as it is.
The theme of this thesis is two of the major shipyards in Croatia, shipyard 3. Maj d.d.
in the city of Rijeka and the shipyard Uljanik d.d. in the city of Pula, with reference to the
wastewater generated during the process of shipbuilding and their disposal.
City of Rijeka and Pula in one word have been centres of their tribal states. City of
Rijeka in terms of its administrative and city of Pula in terms of the most developed city. Due
to its good strategic position of cities along the coast, same favoured the development of the
industry, in this case of shipbuilding.
This thesis shows a single unit that provides a description of the current situation of
waste water within the shipyard 3. Maj d.d. and Uljanik d.d., within a description of
reconstruction that is followed in future days.
As stated, the sewage of listed shipyards currently is under reconstruction, and this
process is expected to improve waste water within the same, because the current state of
waste water is not fully in accordance with the regulations imposed by the Republic of
Croatia.
