Agility is a complex motor ability that, along with other motor abilities, significantly affects achieving sports success in basketball. In order for it to properly develop and improve it is necessary to precisely determine the level of an athlete's agility using the existing diagnostic tests. This research was conducted on 4 samples of younger national basketball teams (male and female cadets and juniors), 59 of them total. Their kinematic parameters were measured using the „Xsens” kinematic suit in order to determine the performance differences between observed age groups (male cadets-juniors and female cadets-juniors) on the „20 yard” test and in order to observe the differences in the kinematic parameters for each individual group while conducting the test. After using statistic parameters, it can be concluded that on this, relatively small sample the affect of the performance technique on the final result isn't statistically significant. A statistically significant difference was seen only in the lenght of steps while changing direction using the left leg, as opposed to changing direction using the right leg among the junior representatives.
