Football is a team sports game that belongs to a group of complex sports activities and is characterized by a large number of different tasks that need to be performed during the game. In the very beginning, football was not similar to today's and players were strictly distributed by positions in the game, defensive players or attackers, and today's top football requires versatility from players, ie each player participates in defense and attack. The main intention of the opponent is to reduce the space for attacking actions, and consequently this has led to the fact that almost all players are usually in one part of the field. In such conditions of the game, players must quickly recognize situations on the field, anticipate their development and quickly make the right and timely decisions in accordance with them. How to achieve this? By applying situational training in the training process! It is considered that this type of training reflects the situation from the game on the training to the players as much as possible, and its application reduces the occurrence of sudden and unpredictable situations. This paper will present examples of situational training using games in the corridor with the aim of developing the tactical thinking of football players.
