Abstract	Glavni cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je objasniti značenje i primjenu mentalnih sposobnosti skijaša, vaţnost njihova utjecaja na učinak i djelovanje natjecatelja prije, tijekom i poslije utrke. TakoĎer, se bitnost mentalnih refleksa, mentalne pripreme, mentalnih sposobnosti i svih ostalih endogenih i egzogenih čimbenika s kojima se skijaš susreće za vrijeme natjecanja. Prikazane su i neke od mentalnih tehnika putem kojih se suzbija i kontrolira negativna energija kojom je skijaš izloţen tijekom treninga i natjecanja. Pored vaţnosti tehničko-taktičke i tjelesne pripreme, kontrola i analiza skijaševih utrka jedan je od ključnih segmenata procjene njegove mentalne pripremljenosti.
Abstract (english)	The main aim of this thesis was to explain meaning and use of competitors mental abilities in skiing, the importance of their impact on competitior performance and activities before, during and after ski race. It also amphasizes the importance of mental reflexes, mental preparation, mental abilities, andall other endogenous and exogenous factors to whichsuppresses and controls the negative energy with which the skier is exposed to during training and competition. In addition to the importance of tehnical and tactical and physical preparation, control and analysis skier race is one of the key segments of the assessment of his mental preparation.
