Abstract
Traumatologija je grana medicine i dio kirurške znanosti koja ima veliko medicinsko i društveno značenje. Orijentirana je na hitno zbrinjavanje ozljeda, poglavito ozljeda lokomotornog sustava, te na sve rastući broj multilokularnih trauma i politraumatiziranih bolesnika. U nesrećama često dolazi do ekstenzivnih ozljeda koje ugrožavaju ekstremitet, a ponekad imaju za posljedicu i njihov gubitak, što je zasigurno jedan od najtežih oblika invalidnosti. Nerijetko su žrtve takvih ozljeda mlade i aktivne osobe kod kojih se, osim standardnog oblika kvalitetnog zbrinjavanja ozljeda, stavlja poseban naglasak na rehabilitaciju i povratak na prijašnji stil života kao produktivnih članova društva. Medicinska rehabilitacija osoba s amputacijom udova obuhvaća razdoblje od amputacije, postoperativnu i predprotetičku fazu, protetičku fazu, te fazu dugotrajnog praćenja. Biomehatronika je multidisciplinarno područje i predstavlja integrativnu primjenu mehatronike u biomedicinskim znanostima, a uključuje stalne inovacije i tehnološki napredak te timski rad inženjera, programera i specijalista liječnika raznih medicinskih grana. Današnja moderna protetika predstavlja rezultat primjene načela biomehatronike te zahtijeva primjenu, u jednakoj mjeri napredne, amputacijske rekonstruktivne kirurgije
Abstract (english)
Traumatology is a branch of medicine and part of surgical science that has great medical and social significance. It is oriented to the urgent care of injuries, especially injuries to the locomotor system, and to the growing number of multilocular traumas and the polytraumatized patients. Accidents often result in extensive injuries endangering an extremity and sometimes result in their loss, which is certainly one of the most difficult forms of disability. Often victims of such injuries are young and active people and in those cases, apart from the standard forms of quality of care, we should place special emphasis on rehabilitation and social reintegration. Medical rehabilitation of limb amputation includes amputation period, postoperative and preprosthetic phase, prosthetic phase and long-term monitoring phase. Biomechatronics is a multidisciplinary field and represents the integrative application of mechatronics in biomedical sciences and includes constant innovation, technological advancement and team work of engineers, programmers and physician specialists of various medical branches. Today's modern prosthetics represents the appliance of principles of biomechatronics and it requires the use of, to the same extent, advanced amputation reconstructive surgery.
