Abstract
Samopoštovanje se sastoji iz dva dijela, a to su osjećaj vlastite vrijednosti i samopouzdanje. Naše mentalno zdravlje i prilagodljivost uvelike ovise o razini samopoštovanja kao i načini na koje ćemo se ponašati, kako ćemo reagirati na ponašanje drugih ljudi, kako odabrati životne vrijednosti i suočavati se sa životnim prilikama i izazovima. Stoga, cilj ovog istraživanja jest stjecanje uvida u povezanost samopoštovanja, konzumiranja sredstava ovisnosti i rizičnih ponašanja povezanih uz konzumiranje sredstava ovisnosti. Za potrebe ovog završnog rada kreirana je anonimna anketa putem online obrasca koja se sastojala od 30 pitanja i obuhvaćala opće podatke (spol, dob, obrazovanje, zanimanje), Rosenbergovu skalu samopoštovanja te nekoliko pitanja o sredstvima ovisnosti i rizičnim ponašanjima povezanih s konzumacijom istih. Uzorak sudionika čine mladi, dobne strukture od 18 do 30 godina. Sudjelovale su 132 osobe, od kojih je 80 ženskog spola, a 52 muškog spola. Utvrđeno je da generalno nema razlika u obrascima pijenja, pušenja i konzumiranja ostalih sredstava ovisnosti, ali postoje prilično jasne razlike po pitanju iskustva rizičnih situacija pod utjecajem alkohola kojima češće podliježu osobe nižeg samopoštovanja čime je njihovo fizičko i mentalno zdravlje u posebnom riziku.
Abstract (english)
Self-esteem consists of two parts, self-worth and self-confidence. Our mental health and adaptability are highly dependent on the level of self-esteem as well as the way we behave, how we respond to other people's behavior, how we choose life values and face choices and challenges life gives us. Therefore, the aim of this research was to gain insight into the correlation between self-esteem, substance abuse, and risky behaviors related with substance abuse. For the purpose of this final paper, an anonymous survey was created using an online form consisting of 30 questions, covering general data (gender, age, education, profession), the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, with several questions about substance abuse and risk behaviors related to their consumption. The sample of participants consists of a young, age group from 18 to 30 years old. 132 people participated, 80 of them female and 52 male. It has been asserted that there is generally no difference in patterns of drinking, smoking and consuming other substances, but there are also clear differences in the risk of alcohol-related situations that are more often among the individuals with lower self-esteem causing particular risk of their physical and mental health.
