Abstract
Dentalni turizam, kao dio zdravstvenog turizma, predstavlja putovanje izvan matične zemlje u cilju ostvarivanja dentalne zdravstvene usluge. Najčešći razlog odlaska u drugu zemlju su jeftinije usluge. Republika Hrvatska je turistička zemlja s dobrom ponudom dentalnih usluga i ima veliki potencijal za daljnji razvitak dentalnog turizma prvenstveno zahvaljujući blizini velikih tržišta. Nadalje, Hrvatska je zemlja bogata prirodnim ljepotama i povoljnom klimom. Hrvatska je sigurna zemlja, duge tradicije i dobre reputacije što se tiče zdravstvenih usluga. Uvidom u rezultate upitnika izrađenog da bi se dobio objektivan uvid o razvoju dentalnog turizma zaključeno je da su doktori dentalne medicine, baš kao i pacijenti, zadovoljni s uslugama koje se pružaju kada se radi o zdravlju zubi. Doktori su obrazovani, iskusni i prate razvoj tehnologije što pacijenti iz drugih zemalja prepoznaju, preporučuju svojim prijateljima i rodbini i sami se vraćaju zbog nekih drugih dentalnih zahvata.
Abstract (english)
Dental tourism, as a part of medical tourism, represents travelling outside of home country with a goal to actualize dental health services. Most common reason for this type of tourism is price i.e. cheaper services. Croatia is a tourist oriented country, offering variety of dental services and has major potential for further development because of vicinity to major markets, natural beauties, favorable climate, country safety, long tradition and generally fine reputation considering health services. Examining the results of the questionnaire, that has been made to get objective insight about dental tourism, it has been concluded that doctors of dental medicine, as well as patients, are satisfied with the new possibilities that are offered regarding oral health. Practitioners are educated, experienced and are up to date with variety of technologies. That is recognized by the international patients, who then recommend dental services to their family and friends and often come back to seek more dental services for themselves.
