Abstract
Povećanjem broja ugraĎenih implantata posvećuje se i prevalencija periimplantatnih bolesti. Periimplantatne lezije su periimplantatni mukozitis, periimplantitis i apikalni periimplantitis. Pravilna i rana dijagnoza moţe spriječiti razvoj i progresiju komplikacija. Nakon dijagnostike periimplantatnih lezija odabere se terapija. Ako postoji upala mekih tkiva oko implantata potrebno je mehaničko čišćenje supra- i subgingivnog plaka. Progresijom infekcije dolazi do resorpcije kosti oko implantata što znatno oteţava terapiju. Kod periimplantitisa moţe se odabrati nekirurško ili kirurško liječenje. U najvećoj mjeri periimplantatnim bolestima moţe se izbjeći dobrim preventivnim mjerama i edukaciji pacijenata. Periimplantatne bolesti mogu negativno utjecati na zdravlje pacijenata.
Abstract (english)
Increased prevalence of peri-implant diseses is caused by an increase in the number of implants placed. Peri-implant diseases are peri-implant mucositis, periimplantitis and apical peri-implantitis. Proper and early diagnosis may prevent the development and progression of complications. Following the diagnosis of peri-implant disease, treatment options are evaluated. In cases of soft tissue inflammation around the implant, it is necessary to mechanically debride the supra- and subgingival deposits. With the progression of infection, the resorption of alveolar bone occurs, which greatly complicates the course of treatment. Both non-surgical and surgical treatment options may be taken into account as treatment plan. Peri-implant diseases may be avoided by good preventive measures and patient education. Peri-implant diseases may adversely affect patients' health.
