Abstract
Sustavi držanja kao i smještaj svinja su vrlo važni preduvjeti za uspješnu svinjogojsku proizvodnju.Za držanje svinja u slobodnom sustavu uzgoja najpogodnije su pasmine koje imaju veću otpornost u odnosu na konvencionalne pasmine, te one pasmine koje se lakše prilagođavaju lokalnim uvjetima, posebno u pogledu hranidbe. Proizvodna svojstva svinja držanih na otvorenom su u praksi slabija, nego od svinja držanih u zatvorenom sustavu. Poboljšana su joj zato svojstva mesa koja su kvalitetnija zbog posebne hranidbe, pa je meso svinje uzgojene na otvorenom posebno pogodno za preradu suhomesnatih proizvoda. U europskim okvirima vidljiva je potražnja za kvalitetnim proizvodima od svinjskog mesa s regionalnim identitetom koji se proizvode u skladu sa zahtjevima za očuvanjem okoliša.
Abstract (english)
The keeping systems as well as accomodation of pigs are very important precondition for succsefull pig production. Most suitable breeds for outdoor cultivation system are those who are more resistant in compare to conventional breeds and those breeds who easily adapt to local souronding conditions, especialy in matter of nutrition. Product traits of pigs kept outdoors in practice are lesser than from pigs kept in closed system. The properties of meat of outdoor pigs are improved than meat of closed system pigs because of special feeding, so one can come to a conclusion that meat of outdoor pigs are more suitable for dry meat products. The European framework is in evident demand for quality pork products with regional identities which are produced in accordance with the environmental requirements.
