Abstract
Ovim radom prikazan je odnos prometa i turizma te značaj prometa na razvoj samog turizma. Cestovni promet je jedna od najznačajnijih prometnih grana u turizmu. Razmjeri turizma u svijetu bili bi mnogo manji, a raznolikost turističke ponude bitno skromnija bez automobila, autobusa i drugih sredstava cestovnog prometa. Trajektno povezivanje obavlja ulogu pokretača prometnih, a time i turističkih i općih razvojnih tokova otočnoga prostora. Bolje povezan otok u pravilu karakterizira i jači razvoj turizma, povoljnija demografska kretanja i strukture od prometno izoliranijeg otoka s jače naglašenim efektima depopulacije. Turizam je nezamisliv bez prometa, ali promet nepovoljno utječe na zdravlje onih koji se uključuju u turističke tijekove. Zagađivanje zraka, voda i tla ispušnim plinovima, i drugim otpadnim tvarima, te ugrožavanje bukom i vibracijama dodatno su povećani prometom u službi turizma.
Abstract (english)
This paper (article) presents the relationship between transport and tourism, and importance of traffic to the tourism development. Road traffic is one of the most important transport sectors in tourism. Scale of the tourism develoment in the world would be much smaller, and the variety of tourism offer would be relatively modest without cars, buses and other means of road traffic. Ferry-connection performs the role of initator of traffic, along with tourism and general development of islands. Island with good traffic connections is typically characterized by stronger tourism development, more favorable demographic trends and structures, from a traffic isolated island that has pronounced effects of depopulation. Tourism is unimaginable without traffic, but traffic is adversely affecting the health of those who are involved in tourist flows. Pollution of air, water and soil from exhaust gases and other waste materials, as well as noise and vibration hazards have been further increased by traffic in tourism.
