Abstract	Dobra infrastruktura i suprastruktura su primarne i ujedno najbitnije stavke dobrog i nesmetanog poslovanja jedne luke. Postupak planiranja i sam razvoj luke i terminala je jako složen posao jer se temelji na predviđanjima koja je teško procijeniti i koja zahtjevaju znanje iz različitih područja, dobru organizaciju, i precizno planiranje. Planiranje i poziconiranje jedne luke ujedno određuje i njenu dostupnost ostatku svijeta te njen rast i razvoj u budućnosti. U skladu s tim, u ovom radu se pobliže objašnjava koliko su zaista bitne dobra infrastruktura i suprastruktura i navode se neke od značajnijih luka u svijetu te njihov rast i razvoj.
Abstract (english)	Good infrastructure and superstructure are the primary and most important items of a good and undisturbed operation of a port. The planning and development of the port and terminal is a very complicated job because it is based on predictions that are difficult to assess and require knowledge from different areas, good organization and precise planning. Planning and positioning of one port also determines its availability to the rest of the world and its growth and development in the future. Accordingly, this paper explains how important the good infrastructure and superstructure are, and lists some of the most important ports in the world and their growth and development.
