Abstract
Pretrage acidobazne ravnoteže su laboratorijske pretrage koje uključuju određivanja plinova u krvi, pH, elektrolita i metabolita. Jedne su od najčešćih pretraga na hitnim prijemima i u jedinicama intenzivne njege. Za točnu procjenu acidobazne ravnoteže se koristi arterijska krv, no nekad to nije moguće pa se umjesto arterijske krvi uzorkuje kapilarna krv. Uzorkovanje kapilarne krvi je brže, jednostavnije i manje invazivno za pacijenta, no u kliničkoj se praksi zdravstveni djelatnici odgovorni za uzorkovanje suočavaju sa problemom kako održati kvalitetu uzorka. Jedno od rješenja je dodavanje tekućeg heparina u kapilare neposredno prije uzorkovanja kako se uzorak ne bi zgrušao dok se ne analizira, iako on može imati dilucijski učinak i promijeniti rezultate pretraga acidobazne ravnoteže. U ovom je diplomskom radu prikazano kako dodatak tekućeg heparina u kapilaru prije uzorkovanja mijenja rezultate pretraga acidobazne ravnoteže. Također je prikazano kako se uzorak bez dodatka tekućeg heparina neće zgrušati ako između uzorkovanja i analize prođe 25 minuta.
Abstract (english)
Blood gas tests are laboratory tests that include measuring gases in blood, pH, electrolytes and metabolites. They are one of the most common tests that are used in emergency rooms or intensive care units. Arterial blood is used for accurate estimation of gas blood testing, but in some cases that is not possible, so capillary blood can be used instead. Blood sampling of capillary blood is faster, more simple and less invasive for the patient. In clinical practice, some of the healthcare professionals responsible for blood sampling are dealing with the problem of how to maintain the quality of the sample. One way to maintain the quality of the sample is to add liquid heparin into capillary just before blood sampling to avoid forming cloths, although it can dilute the sample and change the results of blood gas tests. This diploma thesis shows how the addition of liquid heparin into capillary just before blood sampling changes the results of blood gas testing, and that clots will not form after 25 minutes in the capillary if liquid heparin is not added.
