Abstract
Povijesne gradske jezgre posljednjih nekoliko desetljeća se suočavaju s krizom. Kriza se očituje kroz gubitak stanovništva, funkcija i značenja u životu građana. Ključan postupak u obnovi jezgre u fizičkom, demografskom i funkcionalnom smislu se naziva revitalizacija. Ovaj rad se bavi revitalizacijom funkcija urbane jezgre Šibenika, gdje se želi stvoriti novi model ili uzorak održivih funkcija. Presjekom kroz povijest Šibenika i same jezgre uočeni su navedeni procesi propadanja i degradacije te promjene uloge jezgre u društvenom životu grada. Smjernice revitalizacije su izvučene iz primjera u svijetu i u Hrvatskoj, a povezuje ih provođenje mješovite namjene, uvažavanje specifičnosti prostora i oblika zaštite. Provedeno terensko kartiranje je vizualizirano pomoću GIS alata te pomoću njega, rezultata anketa i planiranih aktivnosti Grada razviti će se model novih funkcija koji će odgovarati sadašnjoj kategoriji zaštite jezgre i stanju u prostoru te može poslužiti u daljnjoj izradi plana upravljanja povijesnom jezgrom Šibenika.
Abstract (english)
Through last several decades historic urban cores are experiencing crisis in developing. Crisis is recognized in losing population, city functions and importance for residents. The key process in core’s physical, demographical and functional recovery is called revitalization. Main issue of this thesis is revitalization of functions of Šibenik's historic urban core. A new model or pattern of sustainable functions will be suggested. Throughout the history of Šibenik processes like degradation, decadence and change of its role in social life are recognizable. Guidelines of revitalization are extracted from examples in the world and Croatia, and they are based on local specificity, conservation and measures of mixed use. With data collected through terrain mapping, that is performed and visualized with GIS tools, surveys and already planned activities of the City, model of new city functions will be developed. This model will suit the present rank of conservation and core's development and can be used in further spatial planning of Šibenik's historic urban core.
