Abstract	U ovom diplomskom radu razvija se program pomoću kojeg će se lakše adaptirati udžbenici i stručna literatura za učenike s vidnim poteškoćama. U uvodnom dijelu rada opisuju se vrste oštećenja vida te uzroci zbog kojih dolazi do samih oštećenja. Tu se nalaze i statistički podaci o osobama s vidnim poteškoćama pa dolazimo do zaključka da je ova tema dosta bitna jer osobe s vidnim poteškoćama zahtijevaju drugačiji pristup obrazovanju. Obrazovanje slijepih osoba predstavljalo je problem još u antičko doba, no prve prave obrazovne ustanove javljaju se tek u 18. stoljeću. U to vrijeme razvija se Brailleevo pismo, to jest niz znakova pomoću kojih se pisani tekst pretvara u oblik čitljiv slijepim osobama. U glavnom dijelu opisan je postupak adaptacije teksta za tiskanje udžbenika za slijepe osobe. Bitno je da se u jednom retku teksta nalazi najviše 30 ili 38 znakova, ovisno o veličini stranice. Ako zadnja riječ u retku ne stane cijela, zbog uštede prostora, riječ se rastavlja na slogove. U tu svrhu razvijen je program koji učitani formatira na gore opisani način čime se uvelike olakšava adaptacija i prijevod udžbenika i literature na Brailleevo pismo.
Abstract (english)	In this thesis, we develop a program that is used for easier adaptation of textbooks and literature for students with visual difficulties. In the introduction, we explain the types of visual difficulties and their main causes for them to occur. There are also statistics which show the number of people with such disorders and we come to the conclusion that this topic is needed for easier education of blind students. Educating students with visual difficulties was an issue even in the Antics, but the first schools that take real actions appeared in the 18th century. At this time, the Braille alphabet is invented which helps blind students in reading. The main part of the thesis is the adaptation of textbooks and literature for blind people. One line must have a maximum of 30 or 38 characters, depending on the page size. If the last word in the line does not fit in its entirety, to save space, the word is divided into syllables. For this purpose, a program, which formats the loaded one in the way described above, making it much easier adaptation and translation of textbooks and literature into Braille.
