Abstract
Kongresni turizam jedan je od selektivnih oblika turizma koji se intenzivno razvija u posljednjih nekoliko godina. Iako se, u prvom redu, radi o poslovnim skupovima, ima puno dodirnih točaka sa turizmom i kao takav ima velike utjecaje na gospodarstvo i okoliš destinacije te stanovništvo. U svijetu je značaj kongresnog turizma u porastu, pa tako i Hrvatska prati taj trend sa svojim prvenstveno gradskim kongresnim destinacijama. Grad Zagreb, kao glavni grad, ima veliki potencijal za kongresni turizam i upravo je taj oblik turizma prioritetan u budućnosti turizma grada. Uz brojne prednosti, Zagreb ima i nedostatke koji trebaju biti riješeni kako bi grad mogao dalje napredovati u smjeru europske kongresne destinacije. Velike perspektive, uz pravu gradsku strategiju, postat će ostvarive u budućnosti.
Abstract (english)
Conventional tourism is one of selective forms of tourism that has very intensively development in recent years. Althougt conventional tourism is primarily a business meeting, it has many points of contact with tourism and, as such, has a major impact on economy, environment and population of destination. In the world, importance of conventional tourism is rapidly growing, and Croatia also follows that trend with her conventional destination in towns. City of Zagreb, as capital, has huge potential for conventional tourism and that form of tourism is a priority in future tourism in Zagreb. Zagreb has many advantages, but also and disadvantages that need to be resolved as soon as possible so the city could continue it`s progress to became a European conventional destination. Great perspective, with the right strategy of the City, will become reality in the future.
