Abstract
U radu je prikazana problematika prostora donjeg toka Neretve, njegovo trenutno stanje te što bi se moglo očekivati u budućnosti s obzirom da područje nije prirodno zaštićeno, a nužno mu je potrebna zaštita. Rješenje bi trebalo biti proglašenje delte Neretve parkom prirode, ali tu dolazi do nesuglasica između lokalnog stanovništva i vlasti, zapravo, pitanje je kome to više odgovara? Uz analizu postojećeg stanja navedene su i potencijalne mjere i zahvati na tom prostoru koji bi mogli doprinijeti razvitku i kvalitetnijem načinu života. Razni projekti u gornjem toku Neretve se provode na štetu njezinog donjeg dijela, bez odgovornosti za posljedice na ovom području. Za budući razvoj od vitalne važnosti će biti međusobna suradnja stanovništva i suglasnost o zaštiti prirode ovog područja.
Abstract (english)
This analysis is addressing the problem of the area of the lower flow of river Neretva and its future, taking into account that it has not been registered as natural heritage. The solution to this problem should be that the area is registered as a nature park. At this point a question of the real benefit gained from registering the area arises; is it a decision made by the government for government or for the common good, and the first ones to ask this question is the local population. Along with the analysis of pre-existing condition, this work encloses proposals of measures and interventions to the concerning area that have the potential to contribute to the development of the area and to improve the quality of life for the local population. A variety of projects that concern the upper flow of river Neretva are realized without sensibility for the area of the lower flow. It is undisputed that, in the sake of further development of the area, cooperation of the whole population is of the highest importance.
