Abstract
U sklopu ovog diplomskog rada sintetizirani su kokristali aromatskih diamina, p-fenilendiamina, benzidina te o-tolidina s perfluoriranim aromatskim donorima, 1,4-dijodtetrafluorbenzenom, 1,3-dijodtetrafluorbenzenom te 1,3,5-trifluor-2,4,6-trijodbenzenom. Sinteza kokristala bila je provedena mehanokemijski te iz otopine. Spojevi koji su sintetizirani mehanokemijski izučeni su rentgenskom difrakcijom na polikristalnom uzorku, a kokristalima kojima je uspješno priređen jedinični kristal iz otopine određena je kristalna i molekulska struktura. U kokristalima kojima je bilo moguće odrediti kristalnu i molekulsku strukturu izučila su se svojstva primarne amino skupine kao akceptora halogenske veze te geometrijski parametri tih veza. Određeno je i koje su ostale interakcije prisutne u kristalnim strukturama sintetiziranih kokristala te kako se promjenom broja i položaja atoma joda u donorima halogenske veze, ali i promjenom molekula akceptora (po pitanju broja i supstituiranosti fenilnih prstena), može mijenjati struktura kokristala.
Abstract (english)
As a part of this master thesis, halogen-bonded cocrystals were prepared using three aromatic diamines, p-phenylenediamine, benzidine, o-tolidine and three perfluorinated halogen bond donors, 1,4-diiodotetrafluorobenzene, 1,3-diiodotetrafluorobenzene and 1,3,5-trifluoro-2,4,6-triiodobenzene. The cocrystals were synthetized via mechanochemical synthesis and from the solution. Mechanochemically obtained cocrystals were analyzed by X-ray powder diffraction, while single crystals of the cocrystal, which were obtained by solution crystallization, were analyzed by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The proclivity of amine group to form halogen bond with iodine atom was investigated, as were other noncovalent interactions present in the synthetized cocrystals. It was also investigated how the postion and number of iodine atoms, as well as the number and supstitution of phenyl rings influences crystal packing.
