Abstract
Tema ovog diplomskog rada je proširena stvarnost, problemi i prednosti koje ona donosi sa sobom pri primjeni u nastavi te izrada jednostavne mobilne aplikacije za Android uređaje. Prvo poglavlje obuhvaća definiciju proširene stvarnosti, njezinu primjenu u raznim aspektima ljudskog ţivota kao i primjenu u nastavi. Potonje pokriva probleme koji se javljaju pri primjeni u nastavi kao i razloge zbog čega ipak AR treba uzeti u obzir pri upotrebi kao nastavno pomagalo. Drugo poglavlje opisuje postupak pronalaska odgovarajuće tehnloške podloge za izradu AR aplikacije i obuhvaća postavljanje odabranog okruţenja. U ovom slučaju, radi se o Qualcomm Vuforia platformi koja se koristi kao dodatak u programu Unity 3D. Treće poglavlje obuhvaća detaljan opis izrade aplikacije u odabranom okruţenju i njezino testiranje. Aplikacija je podijeljena u tri dijela pri čemu je svaki od njih vezan za zasebnu oznaku: (1) prikaz mreţnog video zapisa, (2) prikaz 3D modela uvezenog u Unity i interakcija s korisnikom u vidu dodirivanja ekrana, (3) izrada jednostavnog 3D modela u Unity-u i interakcija s korisnikom u vidu virtualnih tipki. Dodatno se spominje i implementacija nekih jednostavnih GUI kontrola. Pri izradi svakog dijela opisan je i postupak izrade odgovarajuće skripte koja je zasluţna za sve obuhvaćene funkcionalnosti. Korištene skripte su priloţene u privitku.
Abstract (english)
The topic of this master thesis are the drawbacks and advantages of using augmented reality (AR) in education, as well as the building of simple mobile application for Android devices. The first chapter contains the definition of augmented reality, its application in various areas of human activity and its application in education. The latter covers the problems present when using AR in education and the reasons why AR is a viable educational tool. The second chapter describes the process of finding the appropriate base technologies for creating AR application and the establishment of a chosen environment. In this case, Qualcomm Vuforia platform is used as a plug-in to the Unity 3D software. The third chapter covers a detailed description of application build in the chosen environment and its testing. The application is split into three parts where each is tied to a specific target: (1) online video display, (2) display of the 3D model in Unity and the user touchscreen interaction, (3) the making of a simple 3D model in Unity and the user interaction via virtual buttons. In addition, the implementation of simple GUI controls is mentioned. Together with the build of each part, the process of creating an appropriate script for functionalities used is described. The scripts used are attached.
