Abstract	Poljica su nekada bila upravno-politički a danas su samo geografsko-povijesni pojam. To je nevelik prostor između uvira rijeke Cetine u Omišu i rječice Žrnovnice u Stobreču. U zaleđu se prostiru preko planine Mosor do Cetine Ispod Garduna blizu Trilja. Po zemljopisnoj strukturi Poljica se odlikuju iznimnomljepotom i bogatom povijesnom prošlošću. Rad je nastao na temelju istraživanja knjižničke građe i uspoređivanja šturih zapisa o bogatoj povijesti Poljica. Kako za sve što je tako davno postojalo, tako i za Poljicu, postoje mnogi ne potvrđeni izvori, kopije i krivotvoreni dokumenti; u radu su sadržani citati i povijesna građa koja je potvrđena iz više izvora, iako to ne mora značiti da je sve istinito.
Abstract (english)	Ones as an administrative-political, Poljice is today only geo-historical term. It is a small area between headwater of river Cetina in Omis and tiny river Zrnovica in Stobrec. In the hinterland it stretches across mountain Mosor up to Cetina underneath Gardun near Trilja. Geographical characteristic of Poljice is generally known by its beautiful landscape and rich history. Paper is based on library research and comparison of roughly records of rich history of Poljica. Due to its long history, there are many unestablished sources, copies, and falsified documents; even though this paper contains citations and historical statements from legitimate sources, it does not mean it is entirely correct.
