Abstract	Pravom intelektualnog vlasništva štite se nematerijalna dobra, odnosno intelektualne tvorevine, koje kao proizvod ljudskog uma pripadaju njihovom stvoritelju. Intelektualno vlasništvo možemo podijeliti na dvije velike skupine: industrijsko vlasništvo te autorsko i druga srodna prava. U ovom radu obradit će se jedan aspekt prava industrijskog vlasništva - žig. Rad se bavi općim pitanjima u svezi sa zaštitom žiga te priznatim pravima nositelja žiga, koja su uređena žigovnim pravom. Predmet žigovnog prava u materijalnom smislu jest žig, a u formalnom smislu su to upravni postupci koji se vode radi priznanja i zaštite žiga.
