The paper presents the characteristics of a passive office building i.e. what the building must be provided with in order to be a passive building. Some of the main impacts on energy consumption in the passive office building (orientation, shape, thermal insulation, windows and doors, ventilation systems, lighting, etc.) are also described. Analyzed is the experience of construction of such buildings in Croatia and worldwide as there is a limited practice of such construction in Croatia. Further, the difference in costs of building a passive office building compared and standard office building is shown, as well as energy savings that such a building achieves. Possible improvements are proposed in terms of even greater energy savings in the passive business building. In the methodological chapter, there is an analysis of techical high school curriculum related to the topic of this graduate thesis and a lesson plan.
