Abstract
U ovom radu dane su osnovne informacije o energiji u svijetu i u Hrvatskoj te o gorivima, posebice o krutim gorivima tj. ugljenu. Opisan je termodinamički proces izgaranja ugljena te načini određivanje ogrjevne moći za ugljen, kao i za ostala goriva. Pomoću kalorimetra s bombom izvršen je pokus kojim se utvrđuje ogrjevna moć uzorka. Određena je promjena temeperature kalorimetarske vode te se pomoću toga izračunava ogrjevna moć uzorka ugljena koja iznosi 30,90576 MJ što je približno jednako tabličnoj vrijednosti kamenog ugljena te manje od većine ostalih goriva.
Abstract (english)
This paper contains basic inforamtions about energy in the world and Croatia and also about fuels, especially about solid fuels (coal). Thermodynamic process of coal burning and ways of determining heating value of coal is described along with other fuels. Heating value of coal sample is determined with an experiment using the calorimeter bomb. Calculation of heating value of the coal sample is done by using the change in the temperature of the calorimeter water. Heating value is approximately the same as the table value of bituminuous coal and less than most other fuels.
