Abstract
Investicijski projekti su složeni i dugoročni što znači veliku neizvjesnost kada su u pitanju buduće okolnosti i utjecaj istih na parametre projekta koji su ulazne varijable analize financijske opravdanosti projekta. Kako je zbog toga nemoguće izbjeći određenu dozu rizika, važno je izmjeriti i analizirati rizike projekta kako bi se, od različitih varijanti, mogao odabrati projekt koji ima najoptimalniju korelaciju očekivane financijske isplativosti i potencijalnog rizika. Postoje razne metode mjerenja rizika, ali metoda osjetljivosti projekta i metoda scenarija su se pokazale kao neizbježni alati mjerenja i analize rizika. U ovom radu je naglasak stavljen na navedene metode čija je primjena stavljena u praksu putem analiza provedenih na hipotetičkom primjeru. Cilj je rada bio potvrditi jesu li parametri koji su odabrani kao kritični pri ocjeni financijske opravdanosti projekta zaista visoko rizični i kakav utjecaj na projekt ima promjena tih parametara. Prikazani su rezultati mjerenja rizika pri čemu se dokazalo da su neki od parametara zaista visoko rizični za projekt te zahtjevaju naglašenu pažnju. Zaključak donesen na temelju provedenih analiza je da rizik zahtjeva dublju analizu od one koja je moguća upotrebom samo dvije metode mjerenja rizika, ali metoda osjetljivosti i metoda scenarija zaista daju uvid u rizike čiji bi nastup mogao imati katastrofalne posljedice na isplativost investicijskog projekta, u financijskom smislu.
Abstract (english)
Investment projects are complex and long term in nature which brings a lot of uncertainty when it comes to future conditions and the impact of changes. Before investing in project of interest, decision makers will use all the available ways to assess the financial justification of the risk they are taking if they select to invest. Since it is impossible to avoid some level of risk, risk measurement and analysis are important to enable selecting a project with the most favourable correlation between the expected profit and the potential risk. There are many different methods of risk measurement but sensitive analysis and scenario analysis are the most common methods and widely used. In this paper, the main focus is directed to the effectiveness of those methods. They were put on a test using the hypothetical case. The goal was to see what happens if some of the critical variable in financial model is changed. Will that confirm that the impact of potential change could be of undeniable significance? The results of analysis show that some of the variables are of high-level risk and have to be looked at more closely. The conclusion based on testing two methods is that they do show which risks could jeopardise the expected financial justification of investing, but neither can be taken as a single measure when it comes to something as complex as predicting the future outcomes.
